Description
In Juárez, Mexico, where violence against women often goes unpunished, Luz is pushed to extremes by her own experiences with violence and decides to take matters into her own hands. Afterwards, she reports to work as usual at a factory outside the city. As memories of past violence resurface and the police investigation closes in, fear and guilt begin to take hold. Back home, her fourteen-year-old daughter Ale is growing up in a city where women live under the constant threat of violence. Inspired by true events, Suzanne Andrews Correa’s debut feature The Huntress is a gripping story of trauma, revenge and the search for justice, celebrating its European premiere as Roze Filmdagen’s closing film.
